Assignment - Student PowerPoint Part 1:
(part 2 below)

use digital photos
Rules of Thirds (was due 2-7-20)
Study the Rule of thirds for part 1 first! Use photos for examples and non-examples of this rule that you have taken already on your cell phone or digital camera. You will probably have to take some new photos for this project, but YOU must be the photographer, do not use photos from the internet. Photos have meta data attached to them that I can read and easily see where they originated.

For Rule of Thirds PowerPoint Directions, Watch presentation to right

For a clearer understanding of the Rule of Thirds Watch the Video below:

DIRECTIONS: You may start your presentation on your cell phone in google slides. In class, bring it up on the computer in google slides, go to File>Download>Microsoft PowerPoint, and click on the downloaded version at the bottom left of the screen and open it. Then click File>Save As>Browse> and choose your class folder. Then repeat the "save as" and save to the teachers flash drive. Once it is saved to the flash drive it can be considered submitted. If you did not submit this yet, combine it with part 2 of the PowerPoint assignment below, and I will soon have "CANVAS" set up for all to submit online. More info to come on that as it is still being set up.

Part 2 of Student PowerPoint: assigned on 3-9-20, due end of quarter 3
Directions: Using your Rule of Thirds PowerPoint (part 1) , add/create 11 more slides, one for each rule added.

Study the Rules of Good Composition first for part 2 and use photos for examples of these rules that you have taken already or photos that you are taking for this project, but YOU must be the photographer, do not use photos from the internet. Photos have meta data attached to them that I can read and easily see where they originated.

What to INCLUDE on each slide: 12 rules including the rule of thirds so you will be adding 11 slides, one rule per slide + one personal example photo for each rule + one sentence that tells how the photo uses the rule on that slide.

Use your choice of 12 of these 14 Rules of Good Composition in your PowerPoint, click here for quick access: wfhsphotography.weebly.com/14-composition-rules.html
PowerPoint Tip: Use bigger Font sizes! Use color, embellish for emphasis, try transitions, experiment, creativity earns you extra points!
